After a dental visit and assessment, the dentist recommended you for a periodontal surgery. There are several periodontal surgery option tailored for every patient's need or condition. A periodontal surgery is recommended to regain and correct current oral health problem or condition. The periodontal surgery treatment option depend on the severity of the condition.

Periodontal surgery is needed to bring back the lost gum tissues, reduce dental pocket and to improve the appearance of the teeth and the gums. After the surgery it is normal that gums become swollen and tender and feel a little pain and discomfort.

Painful periodontal surgery may be avoided if proper oral hygiene is being practice. Regular brushing and flossing are the main part of the practice including having a salt and warm water as a mouth rinse. Opt for products that uses natural ingredients, they can still kill the bacteria causing infection without irritating the gums.
